Mid Day Meditation: Remember To Breathe

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

Remember to breathe. That is a hard lesson most of us forget to do. It is the art of being patient.

The essence of mindfulness practice is focusing on one thing in the moment. That one thing could be an activity (eating, walking), or a sensation (seeing, feeling, hearing), but the core of mindfulness practice is attending to each breath.

The key is patience.

Patience starts with remembering how patient God is with me– Like every other character of faith, patience begins with a vertical relationship to God. His patience in and through me makes me want to be more patient with others.
