On this week’s episode of ‘We’re The Campbells‘ Erica starts work on the first book she’s ever written by herself and struggles to find her voice as an author; Warryn and Erica’s best friends, Lisa and Juan Winans, visit; Joi records a new song about self-acceptance.
It was interesting hearing the conversation between Warryn and his sister talk about career goals and making sure people feel less broken. Warryn chats with Juan Winans and you can see what a great brotherly friendship can bring you. ‘More Than Pretty‘ is Erica’s new book addresses a woman’s christianity and sexuality. When you listen to Erica she brings up a valid point that we are called to give.

God made each one of with unique talents, personalities and skill sets. And when we ask Jesus into our lives, we’re given at least one spiritual gift. We get the most joy and make the biggest difference when we use our God-given talents, gifts and abilities to build the church. Serving is a form of worship, a way to express gratitude for what Jesus has done for us, and to share the love and grace we’ve been given. When we’re working side by side with other people, a bond inevitably forms. This was part of God’s plan. You see Warryn’s sister Joi teams up on a song with powerful lyrics.
Erica addressed her miscarriage in an honest way. Watching Erica and Lisa share troubles, concerns and worries was pure and cathartic. if we fail to do good and do not share what we have we are neglecting others. Sharing what you have and honestly communicating are the types of personal sacrifices that are pleasing to God. Erica also reveals her encounter with suicidal thoughts as a child.
Encouragement and healing go hand in hand. As we encourage others and they find healing, we’re encouraged. That will be the message that Erica can bring forth in her book. Joi brings a song that is honest and promises encouragement.
