3 Comedy Picks That Will Tickle Your Funny Bone

crazy-ex

Years ago, comedies were the backbone of television. Now, they seem to be rarely harvested as zombies, doctors and scandal permeate the entertainment waves. The 2015 Fall TV season is bringing the comedy back! They are edgy, romantic downright disrespectful odes to amusement. Here are the three comedies you need to watch DVR or record!

#3 Crazy ExGirlfriend

Okay let’s admit it, the title is off-putting! The series will follow Rebecca Bunch, a single woman and her elusive pursuit of her longtime soul mate Josh, who dumped her while they were dating in high school in 2005. It’s now 2015 and after being inspired by a TV commercial for a butter spread, she restarts her pursuit of Josh after she spots him in New York City. When he tells her that he is moving toWest Covina, California (“Just two hours from the beach, four hours in traffic”), Rebecca decides to move there as well, hoping that it will give her a fresh start and hopefully bring her closer to the still-elusive Josh.

It falls right in line with the CW’s quirk programming.  The series will debut on October 12, 2015  at 8pm. It will be the mate to Jane The Virgin.

Why Should You Tune In: If you were a fan of the show ‘The New Adventures Of Old Christine’ than this is the show for you. The show manages the right amount of neurosis.

the muppets

#2 The Muppets

The Muppets are back! And this time they have their own show, within their own show. The new ABC comedy follows Kermit & Co. as Miss Piggy hosts her own late-night TV show. Let’s also not forget that the famous frog has a new girlfriend. It’s like “30 Rock” meets “The Office,” and we couldn’t be more excited.

For the adults this is a nostalgic walk back. The show premieres Sept. 22 on ABC at 8pm.

Dr Ken

#1 Dr Ken

Dr. Ken is a brilliant physician with no bedside manner. He is always trying to be a good doctor, as well as a good husband and dad to his two kids. Luckily, his therapist wife Allison is just the right partner to keep things sane.

The show comes off as downright hysterical!
