NBC is giving comedies another try, scheduling returning sitcom Superstore at 8 pm followed by the new Kristen Bell-Ted Danson comedy The Good Place. Chicago Med, meanwhile, moves into the 9 pm perch, pushing The Blacklist to 10 pm.
Midseason or later returns: Shades of Blue, Celebrity Apprentice and The Carmichael Show, new comedies Trial & Error, Great News, Powerless andMarlon, and new dramas Chicago Justice, Taken, Midnight Texas, Emerald City andThe Blacklist: Redemption
ABC
ABC continues with more of the same. Filling the #TGIT gap on Thursdays in the fall will be Notorious, a new drama starring Covert Affairs‘ Piper Perabo and Graceland‘s Daniel Sunjata.
Midseason promises the return of ‘The Chase’.
CBS
The network is bringing comedy back to Monday nights; Michael Weatherly’s new drama Bull will be paired with his former series NCIS on Tuesdays;NCIS: LA will shift to Sundays-at-8; and Joel McHale’s new sitcom The Great Indoors has landed the coveted post-Big Bang Theory slot on Thursday’s (after football). They will also be the home of Star Trek and MacGyver!
