No one does the holidays and Christmas better than New York. We’re talking window displays, parades, trees, you name it. So, what’s the hottest holiday event this year?

Broadway is teaming up with Manhattan’s premier shopping destination, The Shops at Columbus Circle, for a five-week series of free public concerts and performances. No tickets or reservations are required to experience the magic of Broadway, especially with views of Central Park.

“Broadway Under The Stars” will be held on the second-floor mezzanine, with the final performance of the Broadway series on Dec. 11 that will be held in The Shops at Columbus Circle’s dazzling Great Room, under the annual holiday display of twelve massive stars. These stars are the largest specialty crafted exhibit of illuminated color display in the world, which hang from the 150-foot-high ceilings.

2017’s show lineup will be announced in early fall, following up last year’s successful run of shows that includedParamour, Anastasia, Kinky Boots, Falsettos, The Great Comet, Chicago, Waitress, Holiday Inn, School of Rock, andBeautiful: The Carol King Musical.

The performances will run every Monday at 5:00 p.m. on the second-floor mezzanine, with the exception of the Dec. 11performance, which will be on the ground floor. The casts will perform songs from the given musicals for approximately 20 minutes.

The gift that keeps on giving: entertainment, no lines, and a dash of culture to get you into the holiday spirit in NYC.
