‘THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN’ Finally Gets a Sequel

Screen Shot 2018-10-22 at 8.55.36 PMTwo Roads Productions, the producers behind inspirational feature films THE STRAY (2016), CHRISTMAS EVE (2015) starring Patrick Stewart, LANGUAGE OF THE ENEMY (2007), and THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN (2001) starring Academy Award Winner Anne Hathaway and Christopher Gorham, is releasing its teaser trailer for the sequel to THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN. THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN 2: FIRE OF FAITH will be released in theaters nationwide on June 7, 2019.

Mitch Davis, Director and Producer of THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN 2, has issued the following statement:

“When we debuted THE OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN almost two decades ago our team was thrilled with its solid theatrical success. But what surprised us even more was its enduring power and continued performance in the home entertainment market, which was released by Disney. To this day, it’s one of those ‘go-to’ films that millions of families watch every year.

John Groberg’s true-life story among the Tongan people is incredible. It sells itself. But there was so much of that story we were unable to fit into the first installment. With so much demand and such a great reservoir of unused content, we finally decided to give families the next chapter.

“The first film is all about Elder Groberg’s mission to Tonga as a single young man in the 1950’s. The sequel tells the true story of his continued missionary adventures in the 1960’s when he returned to Tonga with a wife and five young daughters. As our teaser trailer shows, his adventures as a father and husband are as stunning as those of his original mission.”
