We often hear that we are sheep led by the Good Shepherd. What does that really mean? That means that Jesus leads us to salvation that is God. That was why he came.
One of the most used famous psalms is Psalm 23:
He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
For many, daily life is a dry and weary land in which there is no water. The 23rd Psalm promises us restoration. The first and great commandment is that we love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. It as we become present to the Lord in our lives that we see his good for us. He shepherds us Jesus gives all those who have been restored the purpose of serving others. We are called to find the lost sheep and lead them to the Good Shepherd who will restore their souls.
Our soul experiences restoration as we share with others what we have discovered for ourselves.
