The Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), a national non-profit dedicated to providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need, announces today an effort to raise funds and in-kind product donations for students and teachers impacted by the tragic events of Hurricane Harvey.
“Right now, first responders are in the area providing initial relief with things like food, water, and blankets,” said Dave Smith, executive director of The Kids In Need Foundation. “When the time is right, we will be ready to give students and teachers the basic classroom supplies they need. We hope this will help to restore a sense of normalcy in their lives.”
KINF will work with local officials and schools to ensure they receive the supplies they need for this school year when the time and place are right.
For those interested in helping, KINF will set aside any product donations until a deployment plan is in place. To make a financial donation, visit KINF’s Second Responder® relief page: https://www.kinf.org/relief/
