2018 Dove Awards Winners

The Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually.

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced all-star presenters for the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards, including Bart Millard, Bill Gaither, Dr. Bobby Jones, Chris Tomlin, Deborah Joy Winans, Devon Franklin, Jasmine Murray, Mark Lowry, Marvin Sapp, Matt Maher, Matthew WestPat Barrett, Ricky Dillard, Russ Taff and Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

It will air exclusively on TBN October 21 at 8 p.m. CT. The show you will  see will be filled with great performances by Big Daddy Weave, Cory Asbury, Jekalyn Carr, for KING & COUNTRY, Kirk Franklin, Koryn Hawthorne, Lauren Daigle, Natalie Grant, Newsboys, Social Club Misfits, Tauren Wells, Tori Kelly, Zach Williams and Jason Crabb with Rascal Flatts. 

I believe this show is the most under rated show in entertainment. The musicianship that these men and women display for he honor and glory of God should be recognized by more in the industry than it is.

Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year was awarded toTaurean Wells “Hills and Valleys!” 

Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year  was awarded to KB “Today We Rebel!”

Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year  song  winner is Zach Williams “Old Church Choir!”

Contemporary Gospel/Urban Song of the Year was awarded to Koryn Hawthorne “Won’t He Do It!

Traditional Gospel Song of the Year is “Close!

Inspirational Film of the Year was awarded to ‘I Can Only Imagine’.The movie tells the  inspiring and unknown true story behind MercyMe‘s beloved, chart topping song. The movie brings ultimate hope to so many with a gripping reminder of the power of true forgiveness.
