monday meditation

As we enter Thanksgiving week we need to reflect a little. Monday morning can seem daunting to most of us. It arrives the same time each week, but many of us meet it with a sense of wrath or hatred ,depending on who you talk to.

It’s a hard enough to deal with Mondays as it is, but if we rethought them it would be better.vIn the hustle of to-do lists and work deadlines, sometimes it’s (too) easy to block out the details of the day, forgetting that each and every day holds precious gifts. From the air we breathe to the friendships we hold close, there is always something to be thankful for.

Here is a challenge.

Try to remember that Thanksgiving is not a time to go searching for deals at 6:00 p.m. It’s a day of family. Of friendship. Of gratitude. And of reflection.

Each day try one of these reflections

November 23rd – What is a memory that brings you joy? Look back and see God’s goodness in it all over again.

November 24th – How have you seen God answer your prayers this year? Pause and reflect on one “yes” you are living in now.

November 25th – When do you feel joy? Pay extra attention to one happy little moment in your day.

November 26ndGive thanks for all of the above.
