Monday’s are hard. Yet, they are filled with promise. Negative events loom large unless you consciously balance them out. To help your brain store positive events, reflect on what you’re grateful for and why.
When you think of something negative, strike that thought immediately and think of something positive. It will change your attitude. Each time a negative thought arises, we choose how to respond. Our brains home in on negative events so they seem much bigger and more significant than they are.
Though you may be going through a tough time, be thankful for what you do have and what worse situations you have avoided.
Remember to thank yourself and others who have made your life the way it is. Instead of taking basic things in life for granted, be thankful for the simple things you do have, such as that you have a bed to sleep comfortably on every night, when you could be on hard concrete or an icy bench.
There is always something to be grateful for.
