It’s nearing Holy week and you know what that means. It’s time to wear your best. and Ralph Lauren is my “go to” rescuer.

Yesterday, I went in to Macys and tried on a few things, and to my utter disappointment I fell in love with a dress from DKNY ( picture below). The dress that I loved was not designed in size 18. I can only imagine the disappointment of other dress folks who were trying this same dress on and meeting with the same emotion. Of course, Donna does have plus size dresses, but the ones that were “plussed” were not nearly as sexy as the ones n the regular department.

Meanwhile, I went to the Ralph Lauren section and he has dozens of dresses that are well designed and carry up to the larger size. Some of them a slight higher price point, but lovely.

Of course, there is a timeless discussion happening here that those of us who love fashion would love to wear items that are beautiful and stylish and not Shein/Fashion Nova. We love fashion and want to look cute and not cold shouldered fashion deprived.
