The Action Network, part of Better Collective USA, has launched a nationwide photo contest offering one pet owner a $3,000 grand prize for capturing a creative photo of their pet and a basketball.
The contest, Mini Hoopers: America’s Cutest Pet Ballers, invites participants to submit a single photo featuring their pet in a basketball-inspired moment. From paws resting on the ball to playful dribble shots or dunk-style setups, the contest highlights fun, imaginative scenes that blend pets and basketball culture.
“Basketball is one of the most widely followed sports in the U.S., and pets are a constant source of joy in households nationwide,” said a spokesperson for The Action Network. “Mini Hoopers brings those two passions together in a simple, lighthearted way that anyone can participate in.”
How to Enter
Entries are open from December 16, 2025 through January 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
To enter, participants must:
- Be a legal U.S. resident aged 18 or older
- Submit one original photo featuring a pet and a basketball
- Complete the official entry form online

Judging and Prize
Entries will be reviewed by a judging panel designated by The Action Network and evaluated based on creativity, originality, overall appeal, and alignment with the Mini Hoopers theme.
One winner will receive a $3,000 USD grand prize, delivered via PayPal or another payment method selected by the Organizer. The winner will be announced on or before January 23, 2026.
